In 2015 Cymbiotics, developed a legacy US patent for a novel dermal drug delivery nanotechnology designated as CETOSOMES™, a robust delivery system. Cymbiotics currently provides a large variety of products, which are listed in our product offerings. Many of the products utilize the Cetosomes™ to aid in enhancing transdermal delivery.
Cymbiotics designs, develops, and validates disease-specific drugs and therapeutic cosmeceuticals. Among other areas, the company has a special focus in dermatology and skin care/cosmetology, with many delivery formats (Creams, lotions, ointments, gels, cleansers, shampoos, serums etc.). We provide state-of-the-art complex formulae that work at the molecular level. We strive to make our products skin friendly and to use natural ingredients whenever possible.
Cymbiotics business model revolves around contracting other pharmaceutical companies to license our CETOSOMES™ technology in improving the existing / or new products and distribute the same in designated countries. All manufacturing is done in FDA-compliant and WHO/CGMP-approved plants in several parts of India and in the US.

Late Dr. Raj Barathur, a former Senior Executive VP at Hoffmann-la Roche, founded Cymbiotics. At Roche, he founded and managed the Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology and built the division into a $ 240 million unit starting from ground zero. He had a Doctorate in Genetics and was a board-certified American Board of Medical Genetics (Rutgers Medical School, New Jersey). He had an entrepreneurial vision and was an expert in strategic planning, financial planning & management. He was a highly effective sales and marketing expert, managing large S&M organizations. He held five USA patents and was a very active scientist and businessman. He was President, CEO, and Chairman of the Company.

Dr. Bookout graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine with a Doctorate and then trained at the Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in molecular biology and Immunology. He is board certified by the America Board of Bioanalytics and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
He is currently the Executive Vice President of Operations at ClinCyte and Cymbiotics, Inc. both of which are headquartered in San Diego, California. Dr Bookout is responsible Operations and R&D and for coordinating many of the ClinCyte clinical trials, which have been performed in India. He had authored many publications and patents.

Shailendra Ghorpade is a C-level management consulting executive with over 25 years of global experience in insurance, banking and securities industries. Strong focus on strategy, marketing, innovation, and new business development. Built successful start-up ventures in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Leadership roles in global industry forums. Serves in various companies and not-for-profit Boards in U.S. and India.

Pooja is one of the Promoters and Heads the India Business.
She has previous experience in international sourcing, heading sourcing operations at Xing Global, Shanghai, China. Prior to that she jointly led the Business Development operations at Ficus Pax Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru.
Dr. Paul is the Lead Co-inventor & Program Director of Enmetazobactam – the first anti-infective molecule from India (at Orchid Pharma) to have been approved by Regulators such as USFDA, UKMHRA, EMA, DCGI etc. He secured academic credentials from MAHE, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (USA), Umea Univ (Sweden), and a stint at US-FDA (USA). He spent his formative years at Dr Reddy’s Research Hyderabad co-inventing anti-infective molecules. Cymbiotics being a Research based Organization, Dr. Paul leads the Company’s strategy and R&D in ensuring Cymbiotics grows in its innovation journey.
Daylan has a master’s in chemistry from St Xaviers Mumbai and a PGDBM in Operations. Daylan has had hands on experience in Managing Functions of Business Operations including Business Development, Factory Set up , Capital Equipment Purchase , Supply Chain , Vendor Development , Inventory Management , Warehouse management , Scale up from Lab to Factory scale & Production Trouble shooting , Logistics , Scouting & Evaluating Third Party Manufacturers and managing operations there, Daylans past experience includes working in Lakme , Revlon and Marico Industries.
M L Chanu holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and a Diploma in Cosmetic Technology. Currently working as the Manager of Formulation R&D, she analyzes marketed samples, develops and troubleshoots formulations, reviews literature and patents, and executes formulation trials. Additionally, she communicates with vendors, manages documentation, and trains and supervises her team.
Satyam Mahajan holds an M.Tech in Cosmetic Technology. As Manager of FR&D, he develops research programs to improve existing products and explore new product development. He collaborates with cross-functional departments such as Manufacturing, QA, QC, AR&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Vendor Management. Before joining CBPL, Satyam worked at Emami LTD and MCaffeine.
Rachana is a microbiology postgraduate with a passion for the transformative power of probiotics. As a research associate at Cymbiotics, she focuses on skin microbiome repair, balance, and healing. At her previous role at Microvioma Pvt. Ltd., Rachana explored extensively on probiotics, further fueling her fascination with their life-changing potential.
Padmini. S holds an MSc in Chemistry and a D.Pharmacy. She currently works as the Manager at Analytical R&D. Before joining CBPL, Padmini gained experience at Global Pharmatech Pvt. Ltd. (Parenteral Unit), Global Calcium Pvt. Ltd. (API Unit), and Acebright India Pvt. Ltd. (API Unit).
Anu.P holds an MSc in Microbiology and a PG Diploma in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs. She currently functions as the Manager of QA. Before joining CBPL, Anu worked at Ador Multiproducts Pvt Ltd, bringing valuable experience to her role.
Shashank holds a B.Pharm from the National College of Pharmacy Shimoga and has completed a sterile manufacturing certificate program at Biocon Academy. As a Trainee Scientific Officer at Cymbiotics, he now contributes his expertise in the Quality Assurance department, ensuring the highest standards in all processes.
Dharmendra Kumar Sharma holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm). He currently works as the Product Development Manager. Prior to joining CBPL, Dharmendra gained valuable experience at Elder Pharma, Psychotropics India Ltd., and Mankind Pharma.
Jayprakash Semwal holds a BSc degree and joined CBPL on 11th January 2010. He currently serves as the Manager of Purchase & Supply Chain. Prior to joining CBPL, Jayprakash gained experience at IPCA Laboratories Ltd.
Raghuvir Singh Rathore, an IIMB alumnus and Chem Tech postgraduate from VJTI Mumbai, has 30 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, food supplements, nutraceuticals, FMCG, and Ayurvedic products. He excels in global regulatory and QNC management, handling USFDA, EMEA, and other regulatory audits. Rathore is skilled in regulatory submissions, analysis, risk assessment, product lifecycle management, and strategic business development. With expertise in regulated markets (EU, US) and emerging markets (India, Russia, Brazil), he focuses on regulatory innovation and digital transformation to drive compliance and business success.
